Human Resources Specialist (Military) Duties: The candidate will provide administrative and management support for the accomplishment of personnel functions for assigned programs. Will review personnel action requests to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Provide personnel management support to Army Reserve personnel within the RSC area of operations. Interpret regulations and policies, and advise on appropriate action. Manage military databases and compile administrative status reports.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience which includes processing a variety of personnel or pay actions; conducting staff visits or inspections; utilizing clerical or administrative procedures to complete reports and/or correspondence; and interpreting and/or applying regulations or procedural requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources or Business Administration.
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
