Legal Administrative Assistant
Duties: Generates and finalizes correspondence, and legal documents to include pleadings, memoranda, briefs, electronic filings, contracts, leases, and agreements. Problem solves, think independently and undertake projects with minimum supervision while maintaining timely and efficient organization. Collaborates with attorney/paralegal team in producing top quality work product. Ability to work effectively and professionally with both internal and external clients on all levels. Handles communications when attorney is out of the office, to include assisting clients and taking detailed information. Maintains a calendar/docketing system. Coordinates travel arrangements. Handles processing of business and vendor expenses through the accounting department. Other duties in compliance with Standards of Quality for Legal Administrative Assistant as stated below.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or business related degree.2+ years on-the-job experience necessary in order to gain an understanding of law office policies and procedures. Experience working in litigation. Proven ability to problem-solve, think independently and undertake projects with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to read and write in order to proof and perform editing (e.g., punctuation, grammar and spelling skills) of routine law office correspondence and legal documents. Keyboarding skills of 60+ wpm. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from clients, attorneys and staff. Interpersonal skills to work with other Sandberg Phoenix members in a positive, teamwork environment to service clients. Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including extensive knowledge of Word, Outlook, Elite and various document management systems.
