Senior Paralegal Duties: Responsible for assisting attorneys with the resolution of legal issues. The current legal issues include assisting with a heavy work load relating to the execution of legal transactions and processing of legal documents primarily related to commercial real estate. Works under minimum supervision of an attorney: assignments are checked. Direct interaction with external clients, witnesses, and outside counsel. Drafting of legal documents related to the management of commercial real estate such as leases, licenses, management agreements, brokerage agreements; service contracts and construction contracts. Drafting of legal documents related to the purchase and sale of commercial real estate such as purchase and sales agreements, deeds, assignments of leases and rents; Drafting of legal documents related to the collection of past due amounts; Assisting in the prosecution and defense of lawsuits related to commercial real estate and updating legal databases; Assisting in the tracking of legal projects, updating databases and the allocation of project costs to multiple cost centers; Assisting in the engagement of outside law firms and the tracking and payment of invoices; Learning and using several legal software applications.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Preference toward an undergraduate study in English. 5+ years of paralegal experience. 2 years formal legal training or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of relevant area of responsibility. Preferred: Experience working with complicated and detailed work. Critical thinking skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Ability to learn and to use new computer software in short order. Solid organizational skills. Proactive and have the ability to follow direction, policies and procedures. Good communication skills.
