Senior Policy Advisor The candidate will ensure that ACS-DYFJ meets it current obligations in terms of the Juvenile Justice Oversight and Advisory Board, Justice Center Incident review Committee and support the CTH advisory board continuum. Manage and leverage relationships with key external partners (like the Department of Corrections, the Board of Corrections, the State Commission on Corrections, the Office of Children and Family Services, and the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice). Develop communication and engagement strategies for outreach to staff, partners and constituent communities. Analyze and deconstruct complex policy issues; and advise on the development of needed policies for the entire DYFJ continuum impacted by Raise the Age. Undertake other duties as assigned by the DYFJ Deputy Commissioner. Must have admission to the New York State Bar; and either "2" or "3" below. Should have 1+ year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar; or 6+ months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne (30086). Thorough knowledge of juvenile justice programs, services, and current juvenile justice theories and practice approaches is preferred. Deadline: 05/20/2018
