A law firm in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Risk Advisory And Cyber-Security Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves advising on proactive and reactive privacy and data protection compliance matters, managing data security incidents, and navigating regulatory investigations. The ideal candidate will have a robust privacy and cybersecurity background, exceptional project management skills, and a keen interest in technological advancements and forensic investigations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on privacy and security obligations under state, federal, and international laws.
• Manage and respond to data security incidents, including advising on appropriate remediation steps.
• Navigate and defend against regulatory investigations related to privacy and cybersecurity.
• Provide counsel on complying with contractual and legal obligations related to data security.
• Work closely with technical teams to understand and address cybersecurity issues.
• Distill complex technical issues and findings for non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of evolving data privacy and security laws.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while prioritizing and anticipating potential issues.
• Demonstrate compelling and persuasive writing and oral communication skills in various contexts.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a cooperative and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in privacy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Experience with a law firm, in-house privacy, cybersecurity breach response, or relevant litigation experience.
• Proven track record in managing privacy and security matters, including incident response and regulatory defense.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle a fast-paced workload.
• Strong awareness of data privacy and security laws at various jurisdictional levels.
• Demonstrated motivation to learn and understand technological and forensic aspects related to cybersecurity.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio.
