Fall Internship Intern will gain firsthand knowledge of the legislative process and daily activities of the federal government. Furthermore, the program allows students to develop friendships with other Congressional interns and take advantage of all the Washington D.C. area has to offer. Will be assigned as either a legislative or press intern. Legislative interns assist staff by researching current legislation and drafting constituent responses. Press interns assist staff by tracking current news and legislation, assisting with press events and drafting press releases. Perform other daily office duties including: sorting mail, making copies, giving tours of the Capitol, and answering telephones. Deadlines - June 30.
