Contract Consultant, GPO Offer Development The candidate will report to the Associate Director, GPO Contract Offer Development. Will support US Region policies, processes and governance to ensure the effective implementation of critical contract activities which manage business opportunities and risk appropriately. Work directly with Health Systems VPs and National Account Managers to ensure contract terms are negotiated in accordance with established BD contract standard T&C policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements. Manage GPO/Regional GPO contracts lifecycle including planning, execution, amendment, extension and retirement. Providing direction to Commercial Operations for successful contract launches, maintenance and applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations. Work independently with minimal guidance. Determines own priorities. Responsible for meeting financial impacting bid submission deadlines. Provides crucial data for determining contract renewal disposition. Project manage the RFI/RFP process for GPO and Regional GPO. Subject matter expert for all daily tactical questions direct from GPO or from GPO customers. Maintain high levels of responsiveness, timeliness, and accuracy in contract dispute resolutions. Takes personal accountability for one's own decisions, despite potential for personal discomfort and elevates risk as appropriate. BA/BS required (in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, 7+ years of experience in the applicable area) is essential. Must have 3+ years understanding of commercial contract development and management; 3+ years understanding of the market/customer landscape and segment pricing strategies, including National GPOs and Regional GPOs. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, required. Paralegal certification desirable.
