Patent Attorney The candidate must have excellent credentials, including at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline. Should have 2+ years of experience as a patent attorney or agent in the electrical/computer and/or mechanical arts, preferably with medical and mechanical devices and/or software, communications, and/or electronics, and be in good standing with the USPTO. Must be highly skilled in all aspects of patent prosecution practice before the USPTO, including patent drafting, and have extensive knowledge of the patent laws, rules and practices associated therewith. Position involves drafting patent applications, working directly with clients/inventors to ascertain claiming strategies and technical details about inventions, and preparing recommendations and responses to US and foreign office actions.
