Trusts and Estates Paralegal / Legal Assistant The candidate will draft estate planning documents and assist attorney in managing client document execution process. Draft petitions and related documents for probate, administration and miscellaneous proceedings. Communicate and meet with clients and advisers. Draft letters and other correspondence. Assist clients with funding and administering trusts and estates. Assist attorney to prepare fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates. Prepare client files and documents for client meetings. Maintain attorney calendars and contacts. Answer office phone. Must have Paralegal Certificate and 1+ year of experience. Should have mastery in Microsoft Word. Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat is required. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills is needed. Familiarity with Surrogate’s Court procedure is a plus.
