Legal Staff
Receptionist – Paralegal – Assistant – Support Staff Member Duties: Answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments. Monitoring email and directing calls to the proper party. Opening files and entering data into our system (Smokeball). Opening/scanning mail and faxes; preparing & sending mail, calculating postage and notifying USPS for pickup. Invoicing/billing, monitoring ACH and credit card payments. Ordering Office Supplies. Creating and verifying retention and information forms. Collection and entry of bankruptcy information from clients. Electronic filing on litigation matters. Marketing & client follow up. Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate must be punctual, reliable, and deadline oriented. By deadline oriented, we mean getting the work done by the deadline, not using the deadline as the last day to tell us you need more time to do the work. Must have right professional drive and personality to handle a million clients and questions without getting flustered. A Bilingual candidate fluent in conversational Spanish (or any language) would be an incredible bonus. Requires being very kind and understanding to clients. Must be highly organized. Highly. Working on multiple clients and multiple matters (in addition to new ones calling), all of which need to be treated as though they are your #1 and only priority. Must be able to make them feel at ease, while ranking matters according to their urgency.
