Profile

Paralegal
The candidate will prepare, review, execute and forward all documents to/from the foreclosure attorney. Maintain records pertaining to the foreclosure process and status. Resolve escalated issues such as, title issues to determine any defects regarding lien position, chain of title or any additional restrictions that would impact position and collateral. Prepare monthly reports for review in the troubled mortgage committee meetings and recommend action based on thorough review of account history. Work with staff and management to include attorneys to manage case timelines to prevent costly fines. Train junior teammates on new or existing procedures as pertaining to foreclosure and bankruptcy. Act as a subject matter expert when procedures are modified due to regulation changes or efficiency gains. Will provide paralegal services in connection with foreclosures & bankruptcies with or without deficiency judgments and/or actions to recover possession related to Section 502 (Single Family Housing) debts to the United States of America, acting through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Rural Development (RD).

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience. Experience in gathering and analyzing data, including state statutes, judicial decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents. Excellent writing skills and experience in drafting and reviewing a wide range of legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, memoranda of law, briefs and correspondence. Highly skilled in managing case files including documents, pleadings and official letters. Strong attention to detail with mandatory follow-up skills, need excellent communication and written skills and customer service oriented. Positive team player attitude.
