Assistant Corporation Counsel Supervisor (Finance) The candidate supervises Finance Division lawyers and paralegals in their work on special service areas, enterprise zones, and other tax incentive matters. Responsible for supervising the Division’s work on affordable housing transactions (other than the CHA transformation projects), including multi-family housing loans and restructurings, multi-family housing revenue bond issues, low-income housing tax credits, and donation tax credits. Should have graduated from an ABA accredited law school in or before 2005 and admission to the Illinois Bar (or eligible for admission on motion to the Illinois Bar pursuant to Illinois Supreme Court Rule 705). Should preferably have 10 years of legal experience as a licensed attorney. Transactional experience in public finance and securities or federal tax law is desired. Knowledge of the principles and practices of Illinois tax incentives is an asset. Substantive knowledge and prior experience in the area of affordable housing is a plus. Experience in closing complex, secured financing transactions is desired. Superior writing, research and editing skills are ideal. Application Deadline: May 9, 2018.
