Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on employment law issues and case precedents.
  • Manage motion practice, including drafting, filing, and arguing motions.
  • Oversee written discovery processes, including preparation and responses to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client reporting, including case updates and legal advice.
  • Represent clients in employment-related disputes, including but not limited to wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour claims.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to strategize case approaches and develop legal arguments.
  • Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment law and legal trends.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in employment litigation.
  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Connecticut or New York.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex employment law cases with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of successful case management and client advocacy.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in New Jersey and Connecticut or New York.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Proficient in case management software and legal research tools.
