Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in personal injury and other matters, including motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall cases, wage-and-hour claims, police misconduct, and contract breaches.
  • Manage a caseload from start to finish, ensuring clients' cases progress efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and responses to discovery.
  • Prepare and present cases for trial, including depositions, pre-trial motions, court appearances, and appeals.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the case lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and expert witnesses to develop and present strong legal cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York Bar (federal court admission is a plus).
  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for plaintiff-side personal injury experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, including relevant statutes, regulations, and court procedures.
  • Proven ability to handle cases from inception through trial and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Excellent negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • A track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar (federal court a plus).
