Litigation Legal Assistant The candidate will prepare routine correspondence, pleadings, discovery documents, reports,and other documents. Interact with clients and court personnel in person and via telephone and email. Arrange and schedule appointments, court appearances, depositions, meetings, and conference calls. Maintain files, sub-files, and calendars. Create binders to organize and index all pleadings and other documents for a particular case. Prepare and send billing statements monthly. Input timekeeper data. Review, sorts,and dates mail. Make travel arrangements. Performs a variety of other administrative tasks as assigned.Should have High school diploma or equivalent required. Should have 3+ years’ relevant work experience as a litigation secretary in a professional office setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010, time and billing software, dictation/transcription software, and document management software. Typing at a level of 60 WPM. Operational knowledge of standard office equipment including copier, scanner, and telephone. Should handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of client service and response.
