A well-established law firm in Tysons Corner, Virginia, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 5+ years of experience to join their litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in general commercial and business litigation, with a strong focus on research, writing, depositions, hearings, and discovery. Duties:

• Handle general commercial and business litigation cases, including case management from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage discovery processes, including document production, interrogatories, and depositions.
• Appear at hearings, depositions, and trials, representing clients in both state and federal courts.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex litigation matters.
• Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations as needed.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing general commercial and business litigation.
• Strong research, writing, deposition, hearing, and discovery practice skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia (required).
• Additional licensure in Maryland or the District of Columbia is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Virginia (required).
• Active Bar membership in Maryland and/or the District of Columbia (preferred).

• Proficient in legal research, writing, and document drafting.
• Strong oral advocacy skills for hearings and trial preparation.
• Effective case management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
