A law firm in Naples is seeking a Trust and Estates Attorney with a full portable practice of a minimum of $250,000 and strong business development acumen. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with direct client management responsibilities, specializing in planning and drafting for clients with taxable estates. This includes the transfer of multi-generational wealth through complex estate planning instruments such as GST-exempt trusts, GRATs, SLATs, IDGTs, and others. Experience in post-mortem administration and tax return preparation or review (Forms 706, 709, and 1041) is required. Florida Bar admission is essential.

Duties:

  • Manage a full range of estate planning matters for high-net-worth clients.
  • Draft and implement complex estate planning documents, including trusts and other vehicles for wealth transfer.
  • Advise clients on strategies to minimize estate and gift tax liabilities.
  • Handle post-mortem administration of estates, including probate and trust administration.
  • Prepare and review tax returns related to estate planning and administration (Forms 706, 709, 1041).
  • Provide legal counsel on asset protection and succession planning.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different practice areas within the firm.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and personalized advice.
  • Participate actively in business development and marketing initiatives to expand the firm's client base.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing in trust and estates law.
  • Proven track record of managing a portable practice of at least $250,000.
  • Expertise in drafting complex estate planning documents and handling related tax matters.
  • Direct client management experience with high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Business development acumen and ability to generate new business opportunities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
