International Tax Senior Associate The candidate will be responsible for utilizing basic research skills and applying educational background to identify potential tax issues. In this role, will be charged with gathering required client information necessary to prepare tax accrual workpapers, to utilize tax software applications to complete simple tax returns and participating in tax planning.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Bachelors degree required, Accounting concentration preferred. Juris Doctorate degree, LLM, and/or MST/MBT preferred. Should have 2+ years of experience in corporate, partnership and/or international taxation. Prior experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis preferred. Prior experience preparing and/or reviewing tax provisions preferred. Prior experience with consolidations preferred. License/Certifications: CPA and/or JD degree preferred. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw, preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and basic legal and tax research skills including building models and analysis of financial and numerical data. Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details. Basic knowledge of sources of relevant information utilized in tax filings as well as the most widely-used filing forms and awareness of other less widely used forms. Basic understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation and law. Basic knowledge and understanding of general calculations and cause / effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues. Strong legal writing background and familiarity with the IRAC method of analysis.
