A law firm seeks a Senior Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney to join its expanding Private Equity Finance practice in Chicago. This role is ideal for candidates with substantial experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance, who are ready to advance their careers in a supportive and high-growth environment. The successful candidate will represent corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies in complex finance transactions.

Duties:

• Advise and represent corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies in private equity finance transactions.
• Lead and manage mid-cap and top-tier finance transactions, including acquisition finance, private credit, and leveraged finance.
• Collaborate with a highly supportive team to draft and negotiate complex finance-related legal documents.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers on a variety of finance matters.
• Ensure the protection and confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with firm policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
• Strong experience in borrower-side representation, with a preference for candidates who have worked with private equity sponsors.
• Proven ability to manage and lead high-volume, complex transactions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission.

Skills:

• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
