Strategic Initiatives Analyst/Senior Analyst The candidate will plan, implement, monitor and/or evaluate initiatives crucial to NYCHA’s services to its residents. Specifically, evaluates programs organizational structures across NYCHA both inter-and intra-departmentally - to maximize (1) effectiveness of service delivery to residents and, (2) efficiency of resource usage. Areas of evaluation include, but are not limited to: business processes for maintaining and operating buildings, including preventive and corrective maintenance of fixed assets and building systems; approaches to contract oversight, vendor relationships and service procurement; systems for budgeting/funding and hiring. Prepare analyses and supporting documentation for budget/funding proposals. These analyses and documentation include, but are not limited to: Creating staffing models; Preparing capital needs requests; Estimating/justifying use of private vendors. Plan and develop all aspects of evaluation reports for program plans, funding and performance. These include but are not limited to: Analyzing productivity data and performance reports; Creating business process flows and identifying key pain points; Developing metrics and tracking tools. Make recommendations on policies and procedures. Engage internal and external stakeholders extensively to advance the goals of Authority and improve resident services. Serve as a liaison and advisor to department leads to solve programmatic issues/roadblocks. Cultivate relationships with other NYCHA departments, labor unions, industry peers, sister agencies and community organizations to advance the goals of the Authority. Interview and network with staff ranging from the frontline to the Executive team. Coordinate/schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders and to prepare materials. Perform general administrative tasks to support the OSI team. Should have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to above. Should preferably have 2+ years of work experience related to housing, business, consulting, real estate, human resources, law and/or public policy. Graduate degrees in fields such as public administration, public policy, urban planning, or business administration are preferred.
