ProfileClaims Adjuster The candidate will investigate and resolve customer incidents which stem from general liability and druggist liability incident exposures while minimizing Rite Aid's claim exposure. Will perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. Promptly and effectively negotiate and resolve small property damage and bodily injury claims to minimize corporate claim exposures. Open, close and adjust reserve in accordance with industry practices to ensure actuarial adequacy. Secure and review medical records, statements, police reports, contracts, leases, invoices and other investigative materials to formulate liability and damages analyses. Review, investigate and analyze general liability and druggist liability incidents and small claims to minimize corporate claim exposures. Investigate and pursue property damage/bodily injury subrogation and/or tender/contribution to ensure that corporate expenditures are being minimized and collected. Maintain and update claim database with incident/claim related data to ensure integrity of claim handling and future actuarial needs. Utilize internal and external resources (internet, other departments, store personnel, management, etc.) when appropriate in the handling of incidents and small claims.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 2+ years' of experience in Insurance or legal industry such as Claims Rep, Paralegal or CSR. Equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Insurance, Risk Management, Pre-Law or Business is required Or equivalent education in lieu of experience is required.
