Paralegal The candidate will report to the Manager, U.S Law â€“ Land and Projects. Will be primarily responsible for providing paralegal services to the in house attorneys in Land and Projects Law on real estate and land matters related to the development and operations of the companyâ€™s U.S. pipeline projects as well as support for acquisitions and the permitting of new natural gas transmission and midstream pipeline development projects. Provide paralegal support to the in-house attorneys in Land and Projects Law as well as to the U.S. Natural Gas Pipeline business unit on matters arising from the development and operations of company facilities. Assisting with easement and fee property acquisition for pipeline right-of-way and facilities sites, as well as assisting with condemnation and other litigation matters, related to natural gas pipeline development projects. Providing paralegal support with respect to federal and state siting, permitting and associated regulatory advice to the natural gas pipeline business unit regarding prospective pipeline projects and provide assistance to lead lawyers on project teams during project development and implementation. Other tasks as required.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Completion of a recognized Paralegal program. Certifications through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations are a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Must have 4+ years of relevant legal experience. An understanding of the natural gas pipeline businesses, eminent domain, right of way or property acquisition, and siting and permitting of natural gas pipelines is required.
