Corporate Counsel, Real Estate The candidate will partner with firm’ business team to acquire, develop and launch new data centers in North America and overseas. Will play an active role in the site selection process, reviewing and counseling clients on due diligence and feasibility. Have responsibility for structuring, drafting and negotiating agreements, managing outside counsel, and counseling internal business clients on: Site selection, lease agreements (both existing facilities and build-to-suits), real property purchase and sale agreements and land use and zoning issues; Construction agreements; Other commercial transactions, ranging from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value transactions; a broad range of property issues involving the management of the existing portfolio. Work directly with the various business teams, providing day-to-day advice, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries, and managing outside counsel. Be responsible for identifying opportunities for and implementing process improvements. Must have Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing in at least one State Bar. Should have 4-9 years of legal experience (with 2+ years of experience at a law firm), including real estate development, acquisition and leasing.
