Paralegal Duties: Prepare, review, analyze and organize documents for real estate transactions. Conduct title proceedings and closings. Correspond with clients, title companies, surveyors and city and county offices. Draft and record real estate documents. Prepare, review, analyze and organize documents in connection with a wide range of sophisticated and complex corporate matters. Prepare and make corporate and regulatory filings (including Section 16 filings) as well as perform legal research. Perform corporate records management duties. Work closely with attorneys and clients on a wide range of other matters.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: A paralegal certificate or 4-year college degree. 3-5 years of previous real estate experience, including closings, title commitments or land and zoning regulations strongly preferred. Proficient Microsoft applications. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Energetic, organized, detail-orientated and disciplined, with the willingness to work hard. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, through effective communication and organizational strategies. Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines and other time constraints, with competing and shifting priorities. Knowledge and commitment of the utilization of technology. Ability to bill 1550 hours, annually, to meet the firm’s billing expectations for paralegals. Strong project management skills. Strong commitment to client service.
