Paralegal Candidate will assist with the filing of administrative appeals and documentation to health insurers and governmental payers. Will have to work well with attorneys and paralegals, as well as maintain the workload, work under pressure and be a team player. Will perform the following duties: Review large volumes of medical records. Create and submit well-written appeal letters quickly and efficiently. Be skilled, aggressive, cordial, and professional on the telephone to follow up on submitted appeals. Run computer programs specific to HLS’ processes to complete administrative tasks. Perform light proofreading and type >60 wpm.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Student or graduate with GPA of 3.0 or higher. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel with the ability to quickly learn and operate new computer programs and software. Must be highly attentive to detail and be able to organize and keep track of large amounts of paperwork in a high-volume environment. Preferred: Interest in healthcare and healthcare law. Clear, concise, and logical writing style. Professional, outgoing, and positive attitude.
