Litigation - eDiscovery

Legal Assistant - Discovery Duties: The candidate will support senior members of the OGC Document Retention Team, which is responsible for providing eDiscovery litigation support to in-house and outside counsel attorneys. Assist with the execution of plans to preserve, review, and produce electronic documents in connection with cases and other matters handled by OGC’s DCRA and Labor & Employment Groups. Coordinate with Information Technology Services (“ITS”) personnel and eDiscovery and document review vendors as necessary to execute eDiscovery plans. Responsible for providing other eDiscovery litigation support services on an as-needed basis. Assist with the management of document review databases. Perform quality checks based on documented processes, and update related documentation as needed. Provide status updates and escalate issues as appropriate.
Qualification and Experience
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree or higher. 3 years of eDiscovery litigation support experience at an eDiscovery service provider, large law firm, corporate law department, or an equivalent organization. A solid understanding of eDiscovery best practices and basic computer forensic concepts and techniques. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with attorneys, IT personnel, eDiscovery vendors, and other process stakeholders to achieve common eDiscovery-related goals. Comfort operating in a demanding environment, which requires strong organization and time-management skills. The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: The candidate with client-facing eDiscovery project management experience will be preferred. Experience and professional certifications regarding the use of kCura’s Relativity and RelOne are highly desirable. Computer forensic certifications from EnCase are highly desirable. Experience with search tools and technologies. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneDrive.
