Chicago - Paralegal - Real Estate/Corporate The candidate should have strong transactional experience with real estate, finance and corporate matters. Primary responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and preparing real estate documents in connection with sales, acquisitions, leases, financings, workouts and foreclosures; recording documents; obtaining title searches, title commitments, policies and endorsements; reviewing and summarizing land surveys; coordinating municipal sale requirements, preparing closing checklists and closing documents; coordinating due diligence; coordinating and attending real estate closings, and managing documents. Duties also involve working with all aspects of company formations, for corporations, LLCs and partnerships, including related startup organization management; maintaining corporate/stock records; ordering and summarizing UCC, litigation and lien searches for commercial transactions; assisting with due diligence, closing checklists, executing documents and closing procedures for M&A transactions or venture capital financings. Candidates with a Bachelors degree or paralegal designation preferred. 5 years of work experience is required (equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree). Candidates must be proficient in MS Office, virtual data rooms and electronic recording software.
