Claims Paralegal The candidate provides support to claims or insurance personnel in the Office of General Counsel, Division of Risk and Claims Management. Displays initiative and resourcefulness in identifying and promptly and appropriately addressing issues, and maintains excellent communication and working relationships. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Responsible for analyzing, assessing and categorizing all claims data and uploading same into the Risk Management Information System (RMIS), processing the data and preparing reports regarding same. Manages the quarterly claims meeting process, including scheduling the meetings, organizing and preparing all data and reports for the quarterly meetings, in addition to preparing and uploading the professional and general liability loss run. Responsible for the overall design, implementation and monthly upkeep of a claims dashboard for assessing and reporting on all claim related activities. This includes independently determining the best elements and measures to provide a complete understanding and assessment of the claims profile. Gather information and independently respond to written discovery requests submitted by outside counsel for both general and professional liability claims. Coordinate and prepare the submission of any and all claims presentations, including reports to various Board committees, departmental and quality meetings.Process and track all claims related invoices. Provides assistance to the pertinent HR and Legal personnel, including the AVP, Associate General Counsel, Division of Legal Affairs and General Counsel as needed, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, handling mail, ordering supplies and any other duties as may be required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Bachelor degree OR Paralegal certificate. Should have 2+ years of paralegal experience. Knowledge with an system is preferred. Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Proficient in designing and producing high quality reports and presentations is essential. Strong critical thinking, problem analysis and problem solving skill is essential.
