Manager, Card Risk The candidate as a Risk Manager in companyâ€™s Card Risk organization will be responsible for working with business partners to identify and consult on potential risks to companyâ€™s credit card portfolio. Will be part of a diverse and talented team that inspires and empowers one another through openness and inclusion to broadly think about risk. A successful Risk Manager operates from a foundation of knowledge about the Line of Business with whom they are working, laws / regulations and good Risk Management practices. Risk Managers have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with business partners to create and implement innovative solutions to appropriately manage risks within the Card business Additional responsibilities include: Supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients; Effectively challenging our 1st line of defense business partners and collaborating effectively with 2nd line of defense (Compliance, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management) and 3rd line of defense (Audit and Credit Review); Supporting audits, credit reviews, and regulatory exams of our business partnersâ€™ organizations, as applicable; Analyzing information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements; supports reporting on risk topics to management; Staying current on the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to businesses; Providing oversight and guidance during risk assessments (New Products/Processes, Risk and Control Self-Assessments, etc.); and Participating in risk forums and contributing to continuous improvement of risk management practices.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s Degree or Military experience. Should have 3 years of Financial Services Compliance experience or at least 3 years of Risk Management experience or at least 3 years of experience in Analysis. Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree, law degree or legal or regulatory experience; and Knowledge of and experience with the legal and regulatory framework governing the financial services industry. Knowledge of and experience with technology and operations is desired. Agile or Design Thinking experience is desired. Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM). Cyber or Information Security Certifications. Should have excellent organizational and communication skills. Must have experience dealing with regulators and/or auditors, preferably in the financial services industry. The role demands a client-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment. Must also display strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity. Candidate should have experience with technology solutions and have experience in risk management.
