ProfileCorporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for assisting senior attorneys with advising the Company on matters relating to a broad range of legal areas such as corporate, commercial, transactional, litigation, real estate, intellectual property, labor and employment, company policies, document and data management, regulatory and other legal and compliance matters. Will assist with: document drafting, analysis and review relating to a variety of business-related situations; legal research and analysis; various matters involving commercial and employment litigation, including responding to discovery requests and subpoenas; guiding and drafting company policies; providing guidance to the Human Resources department on compliance matters, including advice regarding proper responses to garnishments; legal hold management and development of data and document retention policies; assessing and mitigating risk associated with development of new business relationships, models, service offerings and/or business methods; advising the Company of current legal and regulatory developments and determining impact on Company services; intellectual property matters; collaboration with other members of the legal department and outside counsel. Must have a J.D. degree. Should have 4+ years of experience with major law firm, corporate law department or equivalent. Industry experience is preferred. Must be licensed to practice law (and in good standing) in at least one jurisdiction. Must have demonstrated ability to influence business leaders and impact decision-making. Should have excellent project management skills, writing skills, listening and oral communications skills, diplomacy, finesse and interpersonal skills.
