Law Adjunct Faculty The candidate work in future terms for the following courses is needed part time: Criminal Law and Procedure. Must hold a Doctor of Jurisprudence from an accredited institution, have experience working with/employing paralegals or as a paralegal themselves, and must provide evidence of experience in the selected area(s) of instruction. All law related instructors must demonstrate a commitment to continued professional growth through maintenance of MCLE requirements of the State Bar Association and/or other continuing education opportunities. Law faculty must not have had a grievance filed in the last five years which resulted in public reprimand or more severe sanctions by the State Bar or the State Supreme Court. Some law classes may be taught by a paralegal or individual of outstanding professional experience. However, these classes would not include those based on theory. Rather, would only include classes that are based on practice. Such classes include Research and Writing, Computers and the Law, Interviewing and Investigations, etc. Must hold a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution and show outstanding professional experience. Must be employed in a related field while teaching in the program. Must provide verification each year of continued liaison with employers in the legal profession. Familiarity with Canvas LMS or Blackboard Collaborate is preferred. The candidate who have not used Canvas/Blackboard previously must have a high level of technical ability and a willingness to learn. Delivery options include morning, online and Saturday courses.
