ProfileLegal Assistant Candidate will focus on assisting Managing Attorney in the area of Immigration law. Complete and submit various immigration forms as required. Walk to the Manassas courthouse (a block from the Manassas office) to obtain paperwork needed for client files. Communicate with clients in a proper and timely manner via phone providing follow-up regarding their case. Appropriately field follow-up questions from clients by consulting our Attorney to provide the appropriate answers. Track and record follow-ups made with clients by entering the information on Practice Panther, a case management tool. Training will be provided. Maintain filing cabinets organized (i.e. client files are in alphabetical order, paperwork pertaining to case is properly and immediately filed in client file). Scan and upload client paperwork into our document retrieval software tool (i.e. Box, MyCase). Effectively use our scanner, fax and voice over IP technology.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must have an associate’s degree or higher. Professional appearance and presentation. Bilingual in English-Spanish. Must be able to speak and read Spanish. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with focus on driving excellent customer experience. Excellent listening skills. Proficient multi-tasker with attention to detail. Highly organized. Strong ability to problem solve and navigate through ambiguity. Ability to work with independently and as part of a team. Knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications, Adobe and Gmail/Calendar.
