Patient Safety Specialist The candidate will reports to Tenetâ€™s Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Director. Will be responsible for developing and managing data from event reporting systems and compliance monitoring software. Implement strategic and operational programs in support of Tenetâ€™s Patient Safety program. Support and facilitate the implementation of systems and processes that promote a culture of safety and high reliability to reduce patient and employee harm. Collaborate with the facility Patient Safety Officers in providing education on use of their respective event reporting systems and compliance monitoring software. Bachelorâ€™s degree required in a health-related field, clinical experience is preferred. Paralegal, health information management, business administration and licensed vocational nurse experience is considered. Proven analytical/statistical skill is essential. Knowledge and application of quality, safety, risk management and regulatory standard is preferred. Familiarity with data collection, analysis, and reporting is necessary to educate others and to appreciate variance in performance results is essential. Experience in facilitation of improvement initiatives is essential. Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills are required to ensure clear communication with stakeholder is essential. Should be proficient with MS Office, data entry, aggregation synthesis and report generation to include visual graphics and developing reports for databases (i.e. Tableau).
