Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and facilitate residential real estate closings from start to finish.
- Review and analyze title work to ensure accuracy and address any issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and conveyance documents.
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved.
- Provide legal advice on real estate matters and resolve any legal issues.
- Stay current with changes in real estate law and regulations.
- Assist with commercial real estate transactions, community formations, land development, and commercial lending as needed.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of transactions and legal documents.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Georgia State Bar (GA Bar).
- Previous experience in real estate or finance is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and procedures.
