Associate - Intellectual Property The candidate must have 3-5 years of patent preparation and prosecution and client counseling experience in a general practice law firm with an IP Group or an IP Boutique. Should have an advanced degree (MS or PhD; ideally PhD) in Chemistry (e.g., Organic Chemistry) with an understanding and experience with polymers, synthetic chemistry, biotechnology and biology. Candidate with an advanced degree (MS or PhD; ideally PhD) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Microbiology with strong chemistry skills with an understanding and experience with polymers, organic chemistry and synthetic chemistry will also be considered. An understanding of and experience with textiles is also favorable. Must be registered to practice before the USPTO. Should be admitted to practice in New York State; or if admitted to practice in another state, willing to take steps to be admitted in New York State. Experience in patent and due diligence analyses and performing searches would be an asset.
