Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will be coordinating and organizing research across internal departments. Preparing case file memorandum and tracking legal matters through entire life cycle. Ensuring prompt calendaring of legal events (hearings, mediation, trials, etc.). Collaborating with internal business partners and outside counsel parties. Pre-litigation case management and drafting pleadings. Bookkeeping responsibilities: handle accounts payable and account receivable; Payroll, credit card and bank reconciliations, data entry and document filing. Maintain client confidentiality and perform the required duties in a professional manner. Providing support to other areas of the business/department as needs arise. Perform various administrative functions including preparing and maintaining spreadsheets and various agreements, faxing, filing, copying, travel arrangements as necessary, help with answering phones and other general office duties as needed. Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies preferred. Should have 2+ years of experience as a paralegal/ legal assistant in a legal field. Experience in QuickBooks and Excel is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is needed.
