Contract Specialist The candidate oversees the development, implementation and execution of customer purchasing agreements, OEM service, private label, independent contractor, international distributor, consignment, confidentiality and third-party contracts during the duration of each agreement. Leads Request for Pricing (RFP’s) and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) activities. Mediates terms and conditions for business development and sales agreements. Monitors contract performance and compliance. Approves or rejects requests for contract amendments and schedule deviations and coordinates renewal dates. Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine financial and contractual risk. Assists legal counsel with contract terms and conditions as required. Coordinates proposal and pending contract issues across departments, proposes solutions and assists in resolution. Routes contracts for interdepartmental approval, signature, and implementation and communicates contract details to appropriate departments and customers. Provides updates within contracting and customer service management systems as applicable. Reviews and maintains contracting data in company systems for completeness and accuracy. Develops and maintains contract templates. Updates SOP’s with contract details as required to ensure compliance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
A Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal certificate required. should have experience in contract drafting and negotiation/redlining. Must possess valid driver’s license and be considered insurable by CBC/CTS insurance provider. Should preferable have 5 years of applicable work experience in a similar field. Familiarity with GPO/IDN, manufacturer and distributor models and agreements is preferred. should preferable have Strong written and verbal communication skills. should have proficient typing and MS Excel skills. Must have demonstrated ability to: Effectively read, comprehend and interpret contracts, amendments. Report numbers accurately. Follow directions and serve as a team member. Perform with little direct supervision.
