Job Overview: A law firm in Newark, NJ, is seeking an experienced IP Trademark/Copyright Attorney to join their practice. The ideal candidate will possess 10-15 years of experience in . and international intellectual property law, with a focus on trademark and copyright disputes and transactions. This role requires strong writing, research, and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to draft and handle complex intellectual property matters. The attorney will work collaboratively within a team and interact directly with clients to provide expert legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trademark and Copyright Disputes: Handle and manage trademark and copyright disputes, including litigation and resolution strategies.
• Intellectual Property Transactions: Oversee and advise on trademark and licensing transactions, including drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Legal Documentation: Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, discovery requests, and responses.
• Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research to support intellectual property cases and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Client Interaction: Interact directly with clients to provide legal advice, updates, and case management, ensuring client needs are met effectively.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to develop case strategies and solutions.
• Representation: Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings related to intellectual property matters.
• Compliance: Ensure that all intellectual property matters comply with . and international legal standards.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York; New Jersey license is a plus.
• 10-15 years of experience in . and international intellectual property law, with significant experience in trademark and copyright disputes and transactions.
• Strong writing skills necessary for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Excellent research skills to support case development and legal strategy.
• Strong oral communication skills for client interaction and representation.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact directly with clients.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in the State of New York; New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.
