Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation Defense team in a fully remote role based in Florida. This position provides an opportunity to independently manage a caseload, working alongside an experienced Partner to develop strategic litigation plans and deliver exceptional service to clients. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and writing skills and experience reviewing medical records.

Duties:

• Handle a varied caseload of Workers' Compensation defense matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategies and client advisory.
• Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of medical records to support case development.
• Draft clear and persuasive legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
• Maintain proactive client communication, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Manage workload independently in a remote environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
• Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in reviewing medical records and drafting legal documentation.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a virtual setting.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida, with active Florida Bar membership.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and research skills for case preparation.
• Effective written and verbal communication for client and court interactions.
• Proficiency in legal technology and familiarity with virtual court processes.
• Self-discipline to manage workload independently within a remote environment.
• Experience and comfort with remote legal work, including virtual collaboration tools.
