Duties

• Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, ensuring thorough case preparation and effective legal strategy.
• Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assist in negotiations.
• Handle hearings and mediations, presenting clients’ cases in a clear and compelling manner.
• Provide advice to clients on their rights, legal options, and possible outcomes.
• Manage and organize case files, ensuring compliance with deadlines and legal standards.
• Stay up to date on workers' compensation laws and regulations to provide clients with the most current advice.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and confidence in legal services.

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
• Licensing: Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
• Skills:

  • Ability to think critically and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Excellent case management and organizational abilities.
  • Proven experience in client relationship management and legal negotiations.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
