Judicial Services Coordinator 2
The candidate will have to provide judicial support at UFC court hearings, assist with drafting and preparing court orders, coordinate court calendars, facilitate provision of resources and social service referrals, referrals to UFC General Magistrate, Mediation, and Family Court Services; Assist the court in providing accountability for the implementation of all relevant court orders and service plans in all related cases, consistent with the children’s well being and Dependency case permanency outcomes; monitor and track compliance with terms of court orders, social service referrals, and referrals to UFC General Magistrate, Mediation, and Family Court Services, including obtaining necessary reports back to the court; Perform case management of UFC caseload to facilitate timely and expeditious disposition of cases in the Division in accordance with Florida Statutes, Rules of Procedure, and local rule requirements, and prepare orders for the judge’s signature to progress cases as necessary; Coordinate active/pending and related closed cases so as to avoid the issuance of conflicting court orders;

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have graduation from a four year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public administration, psychology, or a related field. Graduation from an accredited law school, Juris Doctorate degree and member in good standing of The Florida Bar required. Professional experience with juvenile dependency/delinquency/family law and/or domestic violence issues, in or out of the court system, or with a comparable agency, or other court system experience highly preferred; and experience that provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge or the ability to gain knowledge of justice system operations and community outreach efforts related to UFC process. Knowledge of MS Word, Windows, and Excel. Computer literate/word processing and issues regarding juvenile dependency, delinquency, family law, and domestic violence. Ability to work effectively on an interagency basis with professionals from multiple discipline and establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, the judiciary, court administrative staff, and other public and private organizations.Must be extremely detail oriented and possess exceptional organizational skills. Ability to make work decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
