A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Attorney to join its Employment Law practice in San Jose, California. This role is tailored for an attorney with over 7 years of experience in employment law, focusing on providing legal counsel and representation in various employment-related matters.

Duties:

• Counsel clients on wage and hour laws, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and other related issues.
• Litigate wage and hour cases, class action lawsuits, and respond to administrative charges in both state and federal courts.
• Develop and implement policies, conduct compliance training, and manage pre-litigation disputes.
• Prepare and file responsive pleadings, engage in motion practice, and respond to discovery requests.
• Collaborate with clients to provide strategic advice on employment law compliance, including FMLA and ADA matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in employment and labor law, with a proven track record in litigation.
• Strong understanding of California employment laws and regulations.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong research and legal drafting abilities.
• Excellent negotiation and client counseling skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
• Familiarity with compliance matters and policy development in employment law.
