Senior Contract Negotiator Duties: Participate in and help support contract administration, negotiations, and other related activities in support of several Undersea Systems programs to including Fleet Readiness Services. Responsible for the daily contract administration tasks associated with multiple services and logistics support contract with the U.S. government and international customers. Participation in front-end discussions of new business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and Domestic/International customer activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Supporting these key program areas will also be responsible for management of the customer relationships with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center as well as the Defense Logistics Agency to provide key business counsel and leadership to the Fleet Readiness Services Program Management Team.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: B.S. / B.A. Majors: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, and/or Law or 8+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of degree. 6+ years of experience in the field of Contract Management, Negotiations, Finance, Supply Chain, Program Management or related fields. Experience in negotiating complex proposals/contracts. Strong knowledge and experience working with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc. and/or equivalent government regulations. Desired: Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Project). Ability to travel several times a year, including international travel. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-performance relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. Ability to solve problems, develop solutions, and assist the business leaders in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives. Financial understanding of rate structures and pricing strategies. An organized and systematic approach to task management that enables timely closure of actions. Proposal generation experience. Team Player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with limited guidance. Knowledge of program management principles. Excellent and effective written & verbal communication skills (formal correspondence to customers). Must be able to readily adapt in a challenging, fast-paced environment dealing with complex contracting matters. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, to be able to research compliance issues, interpret regulations, and formulate recommendations, is an effective team member, can be efficient at multi-tasking, has proficient knowledge of FAR and DFAR, has sound oral and written communication skills, has a working knowledge of contractual databases as well as a knowledge of ITAR and EAR. must be prepared to negotiate sound business deals with its customers and to provide governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract. Must be able to apply tenets of Raytheon’s principles of Customer Focused Marketing to establish and maintain effective customer relationships based on professionalism, responsiveness, and ethical conduct.
