The ideal candidate will have experience handling Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases in the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Duties:

  • Represent mortgage and banking clients in federal bankruptcy court.
  • Handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, including filing and managing claims.
  • Attend court hearings and provide legal representation in the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other bankruptcy-related documents.
  • Advise clients on bankruptcy law and compliance matters.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to manage case progress.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state bankruptcy laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy procedures in the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle a variety of cases and manage multiple client relationships.
  • Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the State of Indiana (required).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law and procedures.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and case management skills.
  • Effective communication skills for client interactions and court appearances.
  • Ability to work independently in a flexible, remote, or in-office environment.
