Senior Paralegal, Product Duties: Partner with product and technology attorneys to understand the strategic needs and goals of the team. Assist the product and technology attorneys on a variety of issues, including intellectual property, commercial, privacy, data protection, and global regulatory compliance matters relating to new and existing products and features throughout the entire product development lifecycle. Research, identify, and review legislative and/or regulatory product requirements and communicate guidance to both internal and external stakeholders. Triage legal review requests and direct requesters to existing reference material when appropriate. Track status and manage deliverables for large cross functional projects . Maintain and update forms and process documentation for team initiatives. Draft, revise, and negotiate contract wording to address various situations as they arise. Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review and provide guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, and questions. Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned or requested. Develop and deliver best practices training for internal teams and client stakeholders.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certification. 5+ years of experience as paralegal at a law firm, in-house experience a plus. Familiarity with cloud technology, software, and legal concepts and issues. Ability to prioritize, be flexible and multi-task, and to track and follow up on projects. Detail-oriented, meticulous, and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of the company, including executive management. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate. Proficient in Google Workspace suite as well as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with a contract management system (preferably Apttus) and Confluence/Jira a plus.
