Franchise Paralegal The candidate will provide legal support for company acquisition and divestiture of restaurants to and from franchisees, including from one franchisee to another. Review, draft, and revise purchase and sale agreements. Review and prepare documentation related to restaurant real property, including leases. Review contracts and transfer documents for the sale of domestic franchised restaurants and the transfer of franchise agreements. Assist in drafting agreements related to development and market build-out. Act as a liaison to departments within the company including finance, development, construction, accounting, and operations. Effectively communicate to help drive alignment with franchisees and other business partners. Should preferably have Bachelor’s Degree. Must have 5-7 years of legal experience. Must have Completion of a paralegal program with a Paralegal Certificate or Degree in Paralegal Studies. Must have experience in reviewing and drafting contracts is essential. should preferably have experience in restaurant or real estate industries, in relevant in-house and transactional experience strongly. Knowledge of commercial contracts, franchising, corporate documents, corporate entity formation or real estate is helpful. Should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with all levels of the organization including management, peers, and clients. Should have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Should have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database management. Should have Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and business savvy approach.
