Position Title: Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney. This role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact by guiding clients through challenging family law matters, including divorce, custody, and other related issues. The ideal candidate will be experienced in litigation and passionate about providing thoughtful legal counsel to clients.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to clients by analyzing their cases and developing strategic legal approaches
• Draft a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and contracts
• Represent clients in court proceedings and depositions when necessary
• Collaborate with senior partners and support staff, such as paralegals, to efficiently handle the litigation process
• Conduct thorough legal research to stay informed of relevant updates in family law
• Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed and maintaining a professional rapport

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Maryland and good standing
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in family law
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the legal team
• Excellent organizational and case management skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland

Skills:

• Expertise in family law litigation and legal procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
