Program Specialist, GS-0301-07/09 The candidate will provide general routine document tasks including preparing, editing, updating, and routine acquisition project management documentation utilizing government templates. Serves as the primary coordinator for the Division Calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings and conferences for staff members. Provides support tracking, organizing, reviewing, updating, and managing for historical purposes all acquisitions. Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as mail, correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication. Serves as the central control point for various office systems, plans, establishes and maintains office control systems such as those for the control of the location, arrangement, access to, and use of office files. Assists with the procurement and custodial control of office supplies and the procurement of office support services (budget, travel and contracts). Traveling is required.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
For GS-7: Must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-5 level work may include: assisting with collecting and consolidating administrative data; participating in budget formulation activities; and providing assistance to employees relating to personnel, travel and procurement.
Applicants may substitute successful completion of one full year of graduate level education which provided the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
A combination of successfully completed graduate level education and experience that which meets the total qualification requirement for the GS-07 level.
Superior Academic Achievement.
For GS-9: Applicants must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-7 level work include assisting with: collecting and consolidating administrative data, and identifying any significant trends; participating in the accumulation of expenses and the determination of financial trends; reviewing administrative guidelines and procedures to determine their applicability to straightforward issues at hand; providing assistance to employees relating to personnel issues; and reviewing contract proposals to ensure adherence to guidelines and policy.
Applicants may substitute successful completion of 2 years of progressively higher level, directly related, graduate education or master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B or J.D).
A combination of appropriate specialized experience (as described above) and graduate education (as described above) that is beyond the first year of progressive graduate study to meet the qualification requirements.
