Profile

Senior Counsel/Partner Candidate will represent parents of children with disabilities in disputes with their public schools, representing parents in the context of any other education dispute. Will have a substantial government transparency practice (i.e., OPRA), and capabilities and experience that would support building a practice in employment litigation (employee side). Client engagements involve shared risk, i.e., some guarantee of payment by the client, with a success premium to be paid out of prevailing party fees.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must be a seasoned litigator with 7-10 years' experience in New Jersey state and federal courts, and very comfortable managing junior legal staff. Must be likely fit one of three profiles:
1. A current solo practitioner, perhaps with a small book of portable business in any area of the law.
2. A senior associate at a firm in a position to invest time..
3. A senior litigator willing and able to get by on minimal pay while building a practice and awaiting the “pipeline.”

Someone who is willing and able to invest time (perhaps through the assistance of a supportive spouse or other family member, or by savings) into building a portable book in a niche practice area.

Additional info

Send resume, a cover letter explaining interest, and a summary of portable business (if any).
