Duties:
- Manage family law cases from start to finish, including divorce, custody, paternity, child support, contempt, and modifications
- Conduct legal research and case analysis to support case preparation
- Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Represent clients in court, depositions, and mediations
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in family law litigation
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing parties, and colleagues
- Collaborate with legal support staff to streamline operations and enhance client service
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, attention to detail, and client confidentiality
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in family law practice
- Admission to practice law in the State of Indiana
- Proven ability to handle family law cases, including litigation, settlement negotiations, and court appearances
- Strong research, drafting, and communication skills
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Indiana
