Job Title: Family Law Attorney – Hybrid (Indianapolis, IN)

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its growing team. This position offers a hybrid work setup with flexibility while maintaining an emphasis on providing exceptional legal support to clients in family law matters. The ideal candidate will be driven, self-sufficient, and have a passion for delivering top-tier service in family law cases, including divorce, custody, child support, and more.

Duties:

• Manage family law cases from start to finish, including divorce, custody, paternity, child support, contempt, and modifications
• Conduct legal research and case analysis to support case preparation
• Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Represent clients in court, depositions, and mediations
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in family law litigation
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing parties, and colleagues
• Collaborate with legal support staff to streamline operations and enhance client service
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, attention to detail, and client confidentiality

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in family law practice
• Admission to practice law in the State of Indiana
• Proven ability to handle family law cases, including litigation, settlement negotiations, and court appearances
• Strong research, drafting, and communication skills
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Indiana

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and litigation skills
• Expertise in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients and opposing counsel
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
